Mindfulness

Active Presence

The Foundation of Change

My approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) a psychological intervention that focuses on three primary pillars: being present with your experience, accepting the human experience you have lived or are living, and taking action toward a meaningful life.

Acceptance

Live Your Experience

We won’t focus solely on symptom elimination. Instead, we work on changing your relationship to difficult thoughts and feelings. By integrating mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and humanistic pathways, we create space for curiosity and self-understanding. It’s about learning to sit with what is hard while moving toward what matters most to you.

Frameworks for Change

We integrate several grounded, humanistic frameworks to help you change your relationship with difficult experiences and move toward what matters.

Core Philosophy

Acceptance & Commitment

Focusing on present moment awareness, acceptance of your lived experience, and committed action to what matter most to you.

Trauma Informed

We’ll explore how your experiences have shaped you without assuming there’s something wrong with you, while creating a space where you have choice, safety, and a voice in the process.

Motivational Interviewing

Using Motivational Interviewing to spark internal change and clarify deep intentions.

Depth & Meaning

Jungian & Existential

Exploring curiosity, self-understanding, and meaning when traditional clinical paths feel lacking. We look at the larger story you are living.

Conversational and Human

Therapy here isn’t about clinical checklists or forced optimism. It’s a grounded, two-way conversation focused on understanding how you relate to your experiences. We’ll meet in a space that values curiosity over judgment, exploring the difficult stuff while staying focused on the values and meaningful actions that lead you forward. Whether in-person in Boise or online, we aim for a collaborative process that feels real, human, and useful from the very first session.
